Adam Miller, AIF®
FINANCIAL ADVISOR
Adam was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Every part of his life's journey has shaped him into the Advisor he has become today!
As a small boy he loved to play baseball and when he was 6 years old he hit a ball through a neighbor's window. This is when Adam started working. He mowed lawns until he had the window paid off, then continued with this profession through high school. At one point he was taking care of 20 yards every week.
Adam loves learning about people because everyone has a different journey in this life. Adam is the oldest of 5 children and even there, everyone was different.
His mother was a Registered Nurse for 40 years, his father worked in manufacturing for 40 years, one brother works at Sandia National Labs, his next brother is an Opera singer, his youngest brother is an artist, and his baby sister was a teacher for APS.
Both of Adam's sons were born prematurely. Johnathan was 2 lbs, 8 oz and his youngest son Zackary was only 1 lb 12 oz.
Unfortunately Zackary got a bad staph infection in the NICU which has led to 30+ surgeries including leg shortening, leg lengthening, and hip reconstruction. Most of these surgeries were in St. Louis and Baltimore.
Johnathan now lives in the Denver area with his wife Emma and their dog Piper.
Zackary finished high school at Rio Rancho and is now a freshman at CNM. Despite his physical challenges, he was on the Rio Rancho Football team senior year! He is a true inspiration to Adam and many around him.
Adam's Father was born and raised on a working farm in north central South Dakota. Any chance Adam gets, he tries to get back to South Dakota to help out with planting, harvesting, or working cattle.
The stress of city living (wifi speeds, emails, traffic) all fade away when he goes back to the farm.
Adam's absolute favorite thing to do is travel! Driving is therapeutic as he eats up miles of pavement throughout this great country.
What started as having to travel for Zackary's surgeries and medical care, turned into a personal mission to visit all 50 states by the time he turned 40 years old. Mission accomplished during the summer of 2023. Next goal is to visit every Major League Baseball Stadium.
(Adam took this photo of this license plate art in a hotel during some of his travels.)
Adam works hard every single day. But when he does finally take a break, he enjoys going on long walks where he can listen to Podcasts and church services.
Adam also enjoys attending church at both Sagebrush and Calvary, going for a bike ride down by the bosque, skiing with family and friends in New Mexico and Colorado, and ballooning at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.
Adam has seen first hand the pain of "waiting for retirement" to enjoy life.
Adam's grandpa was one of the hardest working people he's ever known. Dairy farming will do that because the cows need to be milked twice a day, even on Christmas. Adam's grandpa milked cows on a Friday morning, wasn't feeling well, went in to the hospital and passed away the following Monday. He never got to enjoy a retirement.
As a 19 year old kid working at General Mills, Adam got to see several co-workers whose body's were hurting because of the demanding work schedule and physical labor. Adam inquired as to why they hadn't retired yet. They would say that they didn't have a nest egg large enough to support them because never saved enough early on.
This sparked Adam's desire to help as many people as possible understand that they need to invest for their future! NOW! That way when they want to step away from work, they can financially afford to do so.
Adam believes that life is a team sport. No one can be an expert at everything. He has seen so many people skilled at what they do for a living, but don't understand personal finance or investments. Which is perfectly fine! But please reach out so that we can work together to help you achieve the life you want to live.
Our clients work extremely hard for their money. Our desire here at Level Up is to help your money to work hard for you!
